Make them laugh!
At EnableAll, they are encouraging the internal team to start a blog (I guess not enough community members are starting their blogs, hence the pressure tactics on us!).
So on this holi day, I sat here at my work desk in London, when rest of the team in Delhi is celebrating the festival in the right 'spirits' and put on my thinking hat to mull on a blog, which will hopefully get a few hits!
And, I think, I did get my eureka moment. How about a blog where I describe the daily cartoon from few leading Indian newspapers. Doesn’t take much time, more importantly doesn’t require too much thinking, keeps the editor off my back and since it is useful it hopefully gets a few hits!
The only challenge is that describing the cartoon requires some creative writing skills and at my literary best I usually manage, “Dear Sir, I would like to tell you about this fantastic outsourcing service my company has to offer…”.
So folks, bear with me as I start this blog with immense faith in Ajit Ninan, Sudhir Tailang and others that despite my great writing skills their cartoons will still make you smile.
Happy reading.
PS: The blog will continue if EnableAll or I is not hauled to the court for infringement of copyrights. To potential ‘suers’ I would like to say that this endeavour only extends their reach to the visually disabled community, for whom the cartoon in the print form is inaccessible.

Times of India: Just Like That: Ajit Ninan
Two IAF jets are flying overhead. There are mountains in the background. In the foreground there is a hut made out of aircraft wreckage. Two aircraft conical noses are lying on the ground and being used for feeding chickens. There is a wheel barrow made from aircraft parts. One farmer is telling the other, “Forget the noise… At least I am grateful to these machines for solving my housing problem”
The Hindu: Cartoonscape
In a series of six columns, Advaniji with varying gestures is saying, “My yatra is evoking a great response; my brother gave a go-ahead; my uncle gave his blessings; my grandson said all the best; in fact the entire parivar is backing me; only the THE PUBLIC is yet to respond”.
The Hindustan Times: Here & Now: Sudhir Tailang
In the background there is a partial view of Taj Mahal. There is a large signboard in front which says, “Taj Corridor Sanctuary” and in front of that there is a newspaper lying with headlines that read, “Maya not to be arrested”.
